Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Internal IP Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role involves playing a crucial part in our innovative drug development process by managing and expanding our intellectual property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the company focal point for all IP related issues.
• Assist in drafting and filing patent applications to protect our novel antibody technologies.
• Conduct thorough Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) analyses to ensure our research and development activities are free of IP constraints.
• Explore the legal and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with our research and business development teams to identify patentable innovations.
• Manage existing patents, including maintenance and support.
• Work closely with our attorneys and IP partners.
• Provide IP-related advice and guidance to various departments.
• Stay abreast of changes in IP law and biotechnology to adapt strategies accordingly.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field is a must (PhD is an advantage); a law degree or advanced certification in IP law is an advantage.
•  Proven experience in IP management, specifically in the biotechnology sector.
• Strong understanding of patent law and procedures.
•  Excellent analytical and research skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong process management capabilities
